HIGH-QUALITY ROPE AND BRAIDED TEXTILES MADE OF PLASTIC WASTE

We support partner organisations, led by #tide ocean SA, in their efforts to collect ocean bound plastic and process this raw material into high-quality rope made of recycled plastics. Raw-material preparation, further processing of the granulate into yarn and the braiding of the ropes all take place in Switzerland.

For every metric ton of products made from recycled waste that we sell, we donate 1,000 Swiss francs to our partner organisations. These organisations are committed to protecting marine habitats and supporting waste collection projects in coastal regions.

THE PROBLEM

PLASTIC WASTE IN THE SEA

Plastic waste in coastal regions and oceans is a major global challenge. This calls for new solutions. OceanYarn® contributes by recycling ocean-bound plastic and transforming it into high-quality products.

THE SOLUTION

UPCYCLING INSTEAD OF INCINERATION

Ocean-bound plastic does not have to end up as waste. Through collection, processing and recycling, it can be transformed into a high-quality raw material for new products. OceanYarn® uses this raw material to manufacture high-quality ropes.

THE PRODUCT

FROM PLASTIC WASTE TO PREMIUM RECYCLING PRODUCT

Together with our partners, we ensure a transparent and traceable supply chain for OceanYarn® products. From the collection of ocean-bound plastic and its processing into granules to the finished product – an example of circular economy in practice.
